Movement for me is about supporting my body, not punishing it.
I’ll be honest - I’ve been a bit bad lately with strength training, but I really want to get back into it because I know how good it makes me feel. I'm not beating myself up about it though because I try always to be kind to myself (so important!) and because I know I'm also doing lots of other things that make a difference.
A walk a day:
Walking the dogs every day is non-negotiable. That alone keeps me grounded, consistent, and connected to my body.
Introducing new ways to exercise:
I’m also loving experimenting with rebounding - it’s brilliant for lymphatic drainage, great for circulation, and gives you a full-body workout without being jarring on the joints.
And collagen to support recovery....
Collagen plays a role here too - not in a dramatic way, but in a ‘my recovery feels smoother’ kind of way.
If I’ve trained or moved more than usual, I’ll sometimes take a little collagen later in the day - especially if I feel muscle soreness or tightness creeping in.
